Famous and collected Indian Scrimshaw artist, now deceased for many years. It's very rare to find a signed Lithograph by him. This is #46/500 and the full series was not released because of his death. It's 10 inches by 16 inches mounted in a antiqued 20 inches by 25 inches wood frame!

Famous and collected California artist, 1907-89. The L.A. County Fair Art Building is named for Mr. Sheets and it has an extensive collection of his art. Mr. Sheets was the director of this facility from 1931 until 1959

The National Museum of American Art, Smithsonian Institution, Washington, DC. has his incredible Tenement Flats painting. Mr. Sheets attended the LA School of Art, graduating in 1929. During WWII he was a war artist for Life magazine in Burma-India.

He did architectural building design, illustrated for national magazines, and handled some production design for Columbia Pictures. He also served as director of Arts at Scripps College, in Claremont, California.
